Dear friends and colleagues!

         Annually in the beginning of June ophthalmologists from Russia and various countries of the world gather in the capital of Bashkortostan.

       On June 7-8, 2018 the IX International Conference on Ophthalmology "East-West" will be held in Ufa. Leading experts from various regions of our country, from Moscow and St. Petersburg to Vladivostok, take part in it every time. Large delegations of ophthalmologists from near abroad countries - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine – will come.

     The number of leading scientists and clinicians coming from the East and from the West to participate in the conference, deliver reports and perform operations during "live surgery» increases every year. Ophthalmologists from Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, USA, Japan, India, Singapore and other countries take part in our Conference.

         In 2018 it is planned to conduct regular international courses on the treatment of diseases of the retina and the vitreous body and satellite symposiums on topical issues within the framework of the conference.

        The attention of practical doctors is always attracted by "live surgery" with new technologies and improvements in surgical treatment of ophthalmopathology. And in 2018 leading ophthalmic surgeons from Russia and Ufa will show their skills in the surgical treatment of diseases of the anterior and posterior segments of the eye.

        This year short-term WetLab training courses were held at the conference for the first time in Russia. This practice will be continued at the East-West-2018 Conference. 

        The diverse topics of the scientific program of the East-West conference provide the opportunity for participants to find answers to questions that arise in their professional work, to present their point of view on the problems of ophthalmology and to confer with colleagues.
