Like all people in the world we are closely monitoring the extremely complex epidemiological situation caused by Covid-19 and we are very concerned over its global impact on our lives and economy. The World Health Organizations pandemic declaration, the closure of borders between countries, and constantly growing number of confirmed cases of the disease - all these indicate the need to combine efforts to resolve the crisis. The ongoing expansion of measures taken by most governments gives us hope for a successful outcome.

After much deliberation and taking into consideration your health, safety, and travel restrictions, we have decided to postpone the International Conference on Ophthalmology "East-West" to 3-4 June 2021. The Conference will be dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Ufa Eye Research Institute and the 20th anniversary of TROS and will be held in Ufa as always.

All applied reports will be automatically transferred to the next year. All submitted articles will be published in Point of View. East-West Scientific Journal in 2020.

If you have other plans and are unable to join us, please inform our Organizing Committee.

We are sincerely grateful to everyone who worked on planning the scientific program of the Conference "East-West-2020", "Live surgery", WetLab courses and the exhibition. We are confident that we will be able to compensate for the lost opportunities and hold even more large-scale events in the future.
